Yeah Porn does inhance relationships

 

Watching porn can do wonders for a relationship. Not only will it help turn you on so you can have amazing sex it also shows you new and exciting positions to try. Many couples these days enjoy watching porn before they have intercourse and many people try to copycat what they see. Porn can also spice things up in your relationship so it is not always the same old same old. I do not think that your significant other should get upset if you watch porn every so often. If it is not causing harm to you then you should be fine with it. If they have to watch it to get in the mood or to make them perform better then you might have a problem there. Overall I think porn is good to have in relationships to change things up every once in a while!

Friends with benefits

While watching lecture 24, I was interested in one of the conversations you were having with the class. You were asking if they thought blow jobs were sex. I do not think blow jobs are sex, but they are a form of sex if that makes sense at all. Also if my significant other was receiving blowjobs from someone I would say that is cheating and sex!!! I think full blown sex is when you actually having intercourse. If I had a boyfriend who was having cyber sex or phone-sex with someone else I would consider that cheating. NO they are not having sex but they are doing different forms of sex which they shouldn't be doing at all. The whole friends with benefits always kind of confused me and I wonder when friends with benefits came about. I would have to say I have never had one of those but maybe it would be nice. I do think it might be hard not to get attached to them if you are sleeping with them a lot. I feel like there would have to be some connection or feelings otherwise why would you be having sex with them? Anyone have experience with this one??

Hmm who do I think is doing well…

The first person that I believe is doing well is Barizzo . Through out the semester I have been very interested in what they have to say and they also have very well written blogs that have structure.

The second person I picked was katerr22. She has made an effort to keep up on her blogging so far and I like the way she writes.

 The last person I chose was veenonporn, I thought his name was creative and I enjoy reading what he posts each week. I feel like he enjoys this class and is getting something out of it!

I say it does promote rape and sexual abuse

I feel like one thing I have noticed in this class is that there are always
two sides to everything. It’s rarely ever just a straight forward yes or no
answer, it is either some believe that to be true, or studies support that. The
question you asked during lecture about if porn causes rape or sexual abuse
towards children, of course had yes and nos. I would have to lean towards the
side where it does cause, or at least can promote  rape and sexual abuse. I do think there are
some good points saying it doesn’t lead to rape and abuse, but not enough. There
are a lot of twisted people out there that enjoy watching violent porn whether
it is okay with the people participating in the act or if it was actually a
rape taking place and being video taped. Porn stars are being paid to do what
some people enjoy to watch and that is what needs to be understood. Not all
people enjoy what is getting down to them but do it because of the money.
People who enjoy watching rough porn, have that in their head and have the
aggression and may take it out in the form of raping someone or sexual abuse. The
people who go out and rape or abuse others don’t take hold of that porn is performing
and can be fake.  This is the same thing with people who go out and kill
others and blame it on the movies, thinking that what they saw in the movie was
actually done. Some people can’t differentiate the line linking what’s real and
what’s not, and for the most part what you are watching is just an act that is
put on to please you or entertain you.  I
think that porn can play a big part in what some people do, but I do think that
what a person does is their fault entirely and some people are just sick in
this world!

Yeah about Brian McCutchen….

Brian McCutchen, who I just found was a homeless man, was
arrested for rape and attempted murder of a young girl! She was only eight
years old. I don’t understand why he had to try to kill her after he raped her,
so know one would find out. Some people are just so screwed up in the head. I
looked up some information on this case because after you mentioned it in
lecture 19 I wanted to find out more. In one of the articles it stated that he served
seven months in prison previously for a similar attack, and he also pleaded
guilty to six other charges! If he had been caught so many times before he shouldn’t
be allowed to roam the streets, they should have him locked up somewhere. In
another article I read his lawyer stated that his patient suffers from paranoid
schizophrenia, oh wait that’s another great reason why he shouldn’t be allowed
to live on the streets, or anywhere that doesn’t have him locked in. Also what
was interesting was that he was banned prior because he got caught watching
porn at a public library. I feel that with all these pieces of the puzzle someone
should have figured out that he is a danger to young girls. While reading the
article is said that Brian actually told his friend about the attack and his
friend was the one that reported it to the police. Brian must have serious
problems he deals with, I wouldn’t think many people would tell their friends
that they just raped someone and tried to kill them. But luckily Brian did, and
the girl was rescued.

Am I addicted to porn?

Is being addicted to porn worse than being addicted to crack? I am not sure but like drugs porn can cause people their jobs, friends and even worse their families. One thing that is very different about these two things is that you can get porn for free on the internet or for a low cost on your television or at the movie store. On the other hand drugs are much more expensive, which could be one reason why porn is worse. The fact that you can look at porn anywhere is not good at all. At work, at home, on your cell phone, wherever you are porn can be there with you. One thing they said about pornography is that images can be permanently “burned” into the memory by epinephrine, a chemical in the brain.

 

Well searching the web I found a site that had the different stages in the addition to porn. It says the first step was the addition, where they got hooked. “The second phase was an escalation-effect. With the passage of time, the addicted person required rougher, more explicit, more deviant… sexual material to get their “highs” and “sexual turn-ons. (http://www.firesofdarkness.com/pornography_addiction2.htm)” The third stage was called desensitization. In this stage the material they used to look at and think was shocking and couldn’t believe that it was being done was now okay for them to do it themselves and not shocking. The forth and final stage is actually acting out what is done in the porn. Knowing that there is different stages in the addition to porn is a big deal!

Usually when you are growing up you look up to older brothers or sisters as well as what you see on the television and what you see in school. When you are looking up to people who are older than you it can cause you to grow up faster than you needed to and also could expose you things you have never seen before such as porn and or sex. One thing that children need to understand is that what they see on the internet or on television is very different than love and having sex. Sex typically involves much deeper things such as emotions, love and closeness that is not usually ever involved in porn.

           

What is shown on the internet and on the television is for entertainment purposes, and if it is your first time seeing it you might actually think that is what happens in real life. I would agree that there are some people and there sex lives might be like those of a porn star but for most people it is nothing like what is shown in the media. In a lot of porn that you see they don’t focus on the point that you should have protection on every time you engage in intercourse, or a sexual activity, what they are showing is that it is alright to sleep around and to not use protection. I really think it needs to be a rule that every porn star is required to wear a condom before his/or her shoot to show what should be done in everyday life.

 

I believe we need to start teaching pretty early on sex education so our future generation is familiar with what is going on and to try to prevent more people getting addicted to pornography. Being addicted to porn can cause many problems in relationships as well as in the person everyday life. Pornography is an important topic that can not be ignored!!

Frontline

When I watch television shows like these it always amazes me how other countries live and how there lives are totally different from any I know or have seen. To be told you are going to make 200 dollars a month to work in a factory and for the ladies to get excited about that would never happen in the United States. 200 dollars can barely do anything for you now a day. It was said that most of the times the women actually knew where they were going and that they were going to be sold to a person so they would have to do everything they were told to. One thing the reporter said that I found interesting but made sense was if the women had a weak psychological mindset was that she would give in and cry and do what she was told to opposed to if the women had a strong mindset she was more likely to put up a fight. To find out that some women actually wanted to do and be a sex slave for the money is very sad. They were forced to sleep with 8-15 men a day and would be in a crowded room with around 22 girls in one room. They were beat daily and even the police would use them for sex or would not help them if they went to them for help. Yearly, there are 20- 25,000 sex slaves brought to the US from different countries. Once you get into this business it is extremely hard to get out of and if you do get out alive you will most likely have some sexually transmitted diseases or even worse Aids. You will also come out of it with many psychological issues that will not help you throughout your life with other men and trusting people.

So far I feel…

I think so far I have been doing a good job on keeping up on my blog. Each week I try to get three in and at the beginning I didn’t realize you weren’t suppose to reply to the person’s blog directly so I lost a few blogs by doing it that way. I really enjoy the lectures each week. I feel like I am doing a good job on my blog, I make sure my grammar is correct and also that they are all long enough. The one thing I am not too sure about it whether I am actually doing it correctly. When I blog I usually write how I felt about the lectures or the reading and what surprised me or was interesting to find out. I’m not really sure if that is what we are supposed to do or what. I do think I could improve on including more outside information to get more people involved or interested in what I have to say. Overall I’m enjoying this class but I think I would have much rather taken it in the classroom.

I decided to take this blog and make it amazing!!

Let me get this right, male porn stars have sex with other males just to make more money!  Yeah right!!  I am sorry but I don’t believe that these men don’t have any attraction what so ever for men.  Yes some of these men have wives and girlfriends but I find it extremely unbelievable that they just do it for money.  It is hard enough to have sex with a person of the other sex that you are not attracted to, but to have sex with your same gender whom you claim you are not attracted to is crazy.  I am not even sure that I can word this right because I am in such disbelief that these men have no attraction to men.  There has to be some type of attraction how else can they perform sexually and get off.  It’s kind of like fear factor when the contestants have to eat animal parts to win money (a lot of people can’t do it but they try and just can’t swallow it, and they certainly cannot do it without making faces).  This is how I view non gay males having sex with men it’s just not possible unless you have some type of attraction to men.  Kinsey has a scale which ranks people on their sexual history and orientation.  The scale goes from exclusively heterosexual experiences to exclusively homosexual experiences; you can check this out at [en.wikipedia.org].  It’s their choice what they want to do but don’t give me that crap that you only do it because of the money because there are some things that are just not worth it.  I rather someone say “hey I like to have sex with men but I don’t want a relationship with them”.  I could believe that they were bisexual and enjoy getting the money, but not straight. I also don’t buy the part about it being the only way they can make a living.  I mean if they really don’t like men they can still do porno with women.  They won’t make big bucks but they could make enough to feed their selves while they find something better to do.  It was mentioned that they can make a couple hundred a day doing porno with women, hey that’s more than I make in a day. I don’t like that fact that they say they have no other choice because that it not true what so ever. There are many people out there that do not even have a high school degree and they are making it working other jobs. It is there fault if they decided to drop out of high school or not go to college. They could get loans, or have financial help. Porn should be one of the last resorts they would go to.
